PMB-F Series Fresh-Cut Fruit Weigh/Fill Systems

The PMB-F Series are fresh-cut fruit fillers ideal for retailpackages (4 to 40 oz.). The success of these systems is due to the gentle, accurate and quick delivery of fruit into the final package. Due to the high demand for value added packages, many fruit processors now own a PMB-F for profitable and quality packaging.

HOW THEY WORK
The PMB-F fillers are loaded by transferring fruit from Koch tubs into the supply bin or by the use of an automated conveyor. From there, the filling system gently moves the fruit by the use of dimpled stainless steel vibratory trays. There are three trays (cascade, bulk and dribble). The cascade tray vibrates product onto the bulk and dribble trays. Both of these trays vibrate 90% of the target weight into the weigh bucket at a "fast" rate while the dribble tray vibrates the last 10% at a slower rate. Once the weigh bucket reaches weight, the fruit is gently pushed out by a push plate ensuring a clean transfer from the weigh bucket into the container. From the supply hopper to the container, the fruit experiences no more than a 4-inch drop at any one time.

NOTE: The PMB-F systems can either be operated semi automatically or interfaced with an indexing conveyor or automatic bagger.
